In the last Stellaris stream a new crisis slider was already added, you could choose between the 3 crisis and random. I suggest that there would be a third option which is all crisis. This would mean that even if one crisis has already spawned another may spawn in a few years time..

On insane the AI empires in a huge galaxy can contain a crisis if your empire is not too big. They will only kill attack fleets though. The guard fleets protecting nodes and portals are too strong for the AI at 2.5x. The end game date sets the earliest (!) date for ending the game. It will not end though if the end game crisis is not yet defeated (check situation log for verification) or a War in Heaven is still ongoing.
