Disconnect the wires connecting the heating element to the dryer’s power. Take the high-limit thermostat off of your old element and install it on the new one. This component is a small black plug on the side of the element. Install the new element and replace the mounting screws. Reattach the wiring to the new element.Dryer powers up ok and the front control panel operates properly. Drum spins but does NOT heat. Took panels off and checked the heating element ohmed ok; checked the two safety thermostats on the heater assembly ok; checked the thermistor on the back of the blower housing ok.
