The hard reset (where the driver's door is opened and the CUE faceplate is raised is a myth.) A power-on reset where the power is removed from the CUE (fuse removal or battery disconnection) has a better chance ... But, I noticed that the door seems to open when my finger tips are warmer vs cooler. I guess I could use touch sensitive. However, the device has to be able to detect the touch. I suspect some inanimate objects may not work. If the object is at the same or less temperature than the device, it may not recognize the touch. But, that is just a guess.
