This is the same item level dropping from Heroic Raids. This is the same item level dropping from Heroic Raids. Enchanted whelp crests are used to increase the basic crafting levelling recipes, not the spark ones. It doesn’t require a spark to make a whelpling crest 447. The equivalent last season took those same recipes to 408. Most didn’t have use for that because the ilvl jump from 10.0 to 10.1 wasn’t as large. Ah.

Ended up crafting 2 476 and 2 463 but honestly since crafted items are only 486 and not max they are easily replaceable with m+ drops. …

Or go straight for the craft with an Enchanted Aspect's Crest to get a 486 item instead. Renown 20 should reward an enchanted Aspect crest, not Wyrm. You definitely put more effort into getting renown 20 than 1 aspect crest normally. And Wyrm crests are worthless by the time you reach 20 and just delete the reward. Don't forget you still NEED one of the new Spark of Dreams to craft gear and Wyrm gets you only upto ilvl 476. RWF teams will be doing split heroic runs and most likely farming M+ keys to fill in any remaining slots.
