Apr 22, 2010 · PrairieDirt. I have a 360 and had same issues. When I checked the exhaust valve I found is was at .08mm. I adjusted it to..18 and now runs like a dream. If you are getting backpressure your exhaust valve is most likely the cause. All burned gases that could not escape are flowing back through your intake valve, fix this before running it again ... The most common problem is that the shift rod is out of adjustment. It's probably moving too far towards the low gear and when it high it's not locked in all of the way. I am posting the adjustment diagram below. If adjusting it doesn't help you out then you know that chances are there are worn parts in the engine. (Not very common.)dummy.
