A Kansas state board is hoping that making it easier to obtain a substitute teaching license will help ease the severe shortage of substitute teachers across the state.Feb 10, 2022 · “The Kansas State Department of Education has put together an emergency way to help get some more people in the classroom to cover to keep schools going.” Any TEAL obtained through the emergency declaration will expire June 1, 2022. Therefore, substitute candidates will have to meet the more rigorous requirements after that date.
