Honda odyssey won't start but has power
3 posts · Joined 2014. #1 · Nov 30, 2014. I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey that will not turn over. It sounds like it wants to start but just won't. The battery is fine, we have replaced the starter, checked all fuses, the relays, and there is no spark when we test the spark plugs. I doesn't need a replacement key as the key light goes off.Possibly even a bad cable or connector from the battery to the starter that is always hot,(has power). Since the starter does click even when it won't turn the engine over, I am curious if the headlights dim when it does that, which would indicated a heavy amperage draw and a possible mechanical problem with the gears and flywheel area.

If the ignition switch gives you consistent voltage at the relay, head towards the starter. If no voltage, head towards the switch.
