Well that maybe a loaded question. The manual says to use low when riding under 7mph. I have ran up to 20mph in low for short distances. I dont really recommend it though. Our 800 tends to have a whine in the trans if I run 15mph or more for very far in low. So I run in high 95% of the time.I use low for slow uphill climbs and don't climb sand dunes slow. I also use low to load on the trailer and for the 10 mph I do until I'm out of camp. If read the owners manual it recommends low speed in low during brake in. Im not constantly driving around in low @40 mph.
