The MSc Spatial Planning and Development is a one year full-time programme. It is divided into two parts: Part one comprises a teaching programme of compulsory and option modules over two semesters. Part two comprises an individual dissertation. You will select your topic in consultation with members of staff.Urban Studies can be a solid foundation for employment in urban and regional planning, community development, environmental management, public administration, social welfare, or related fields; or preparation for graduate and professional training in planning, public policy, geography, law, political science, urban design, and many. A master's-level graduate degree is considered the standard for planning practitioners. Planning graduate students may have an undergraduate degree in planning, but others may have studied geography, urban studies, architecture, or sociology.
