Raw infusion removes stat scaling but increases overall damage. It's a good infusion for people who start their characters by leveling up HP/Stamina instead of STR/DEX/INT/FAI. Do not do any elemental infusions / ascensions. Keep it on normal upgrade path! +15. Do NOT ascend the uchigatana just regularly upgrade it on the normal +15 bath it gets way better dex scaling and you’ll get more use out of it. If you go pvp, I suggest you use a Frayed Blade instead of Uchi, because it has better moveset (best katana) and recovery cancel ability (not as good as rk, but still). Sellswords are good too. If you have high Dex you should infuse it with a sharp gem, if you have high strength maybe you should be looking to use a different weapon as it wouldn't scale very well with strength.
