I can swap the forend of my 500 to my 500A without modification. I didn't think it was necessarily a model as much as it was year of make. Both my mossbergs are relatively new. But I believe anything newer than 2006 has a different tube the forend sits on. And it fit on both my 500 and 500A...unsure of the year on those guns.
