I'd guess that it's getting panic bought more than other rings because of the influx of other magic stuff (assuming nothing gets shot down in the actual poll) coming with DT2. Virtus and ancient sceptre gems probably make betting on the seers ring upgrade safer than betting on the other ring upgrades.
